Responsibilities:
  • Reviews and analyzes aged trial balance with patient accounts representatives and vendors to ensure complete, accurate and timely filing of claims.
  • Oversees billing functions.
  • Compiles data for specific reports and projects as needed.
  • Reports any billing issues.
  • Directs daily billing activities in absence of manager.
  • Acts as primary technical support and advice source for staff members.
  • Works in conjunction with manager to set staff goals and monitor staff productivity.
  • Trains new and existing staff.
  • Evaluates existing workflow to determine measures for improving cash flow and reducing days in accounts receivable.
  • Meets with patient accounts representatives to review billing concerns and improve productivity.
  • Provides input for personnel actions and staff performance evaluations.

Requirements: 
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of billing, collection, customer service and transaction posting experience.
  • One year of related supervisory or lead role experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
