ETS is currently seeking an Assessment Specialist for our Princeton location to write, review and revise tests in the field of Chemistry, General Science or Earth/Space Science.

In this role, you will:

• Assemble pretests and tests and assist in the preparation of Special Test Editions
• Participate in constructed-response scoring activities
• Recruit, train, mentor and manage outside item writers
• Assist in the design and development of new assessments and innovative products and services
• Assist client committees, including organizing meetings, recommending committee members, and explaining and summarizing analysis results
• Review and revise program publications and interpretive test preparation materials
• Plan and conduct reliability, validity or comparability studies
• Direct projects, delegate work and monitor progress; create, implement and monitor item development plans; and undertake and oversee small development projects
• Regularly provide guidance and training to less experienced assessment specialists

Required:

• Master's degree in secondary science education, chemistry or closely related field
• 3 years teaching or educational measurement experience
• Excellent writing and editing skills
