Science Teacher/Professor – Assessment Creation

ETS is currently seeking an Assessment Specialist for our Princeton location to write, review and revise tests in the field of Chemistry, General Science or Earth/Space Science.
In this role, you will:
- Assemble pretests and tests and assist in the preparation of Special Test Editions
- Participate in constructed-response scoring activities
- Recruit, train, mentor and manage outside item writers
- Assist in the design and development of new assessments and innovative products and services
- Assist client committees, including organizing meetings, recommending committee members, and explaining and summarizing analysis results
- Review and revise program publications and interpretive test preparation materials
- Plan and conduct reliability, validity or comparability studies
- Direct projects, delegate work and monitor progress; create, implement and monitor item development plans; and undertake and oversee small development projects
- Regularly provide guidance and training to less experienced assessment specialists
Required:
- Master's degree in secondary science education, chemistry or closely related field
- 3 years teaching or educational measurement experience
- Excellent writing and editing skills
